Gold Medal Garden at Blenheim Palace Flower Show
Updated: Aug 27
In 2015, Kew Green created a contemporary show garden for the Blenheim Palace Flower Show. Combining a crisp white pergola, gravel, natural boulders and soft planting, the completed garden was awarded a Gold Medal.
Designing the Blenheim Palace Flower Show Garden
The design balanced clean architectural lines with loose, naturalistic planting. A white pergola framed the seating area, while gravel, boulders and layered planting softened the structure and gave the garden a relaxed character.
Building to a Tight Show Schedule
With only a short build window available, every stage had to be carefully organised. The pergola, gravel areas, boulders and planting were all completed on site before the garden was judged.
Awarded a Gold Medal
The finished garden received a Gold Medal from the show judges, recognising the quality of its construction, planting and overall presentation.
