This Oxfordshire garden was redesigned and built to create a bold, contemporary outdoor space. Dark porcelain paving, raised planting beds, a new lawn and a covered seating area combine to make the garden practical for relaxing and entertaining throughout the year.

The Brief

The existing garden needed a clearer layout and a stronger connection between its different levels. The design needed to balance generous planting with a practical lawn and provide a sheltered seating area that could be enjoyed in different weather conditions.

The Solution

We reorganised the garden to make better use of each level and create a natural flow between the main areas. Dark porcelain paving provides practical routes and generous spaces for seating, while raised beds bring structure and allow planting to soften the hard landscaping. A new lawn balances the contemporary materials, and the covered seating area creates a sheltered place to relax and entertain throughout the year.
